EDITOR,

For some time now, I have noticed that there is a collection of cars, trucks and vans that congregate daily — which do not add much charm to our little town of Felton — in between the Roaring Camp Railroad and the Sheriff’s offices, and then between the Sheriff’s offices and the Safeway Shopping Center. Does this collection of dilapidated, illegally parked vehicles not bother anyone else? It just gets worse and worse. It started out with being one or two vehicles moving from the one side of the sheriff’s offices during the day to the other side at night.

Now, there’s multiple vehicles in both places day and night. We all have to pay property taxes, and I’m sorry if these people do not have anywhere else to go. But I believe parking vehicles on the side of the road like this on a daily basis would be considered illegal. Up to now, nothing has been done about it, and it irks me every time I drive by and have to look at them. First impressions last forever, and I would hope that more people would care about the charm of our town and the bad impression this scene is giving.

BCMtnFolk - I agree with you. That purple house which once proudly displayed the Confederate Flag is a eye sore.

Hopefully there is a plan in place to tear it down.

At least you don't have a burnt down Tweaker House at your town entrance. All their tweaked belongs scattered all over the yard, inside a cyclone fence.

Parked cars are not that big of an issue.
