Santa Cruz County Bank in Scotts Valley is collecting new pairs of pajamas for Project Pajamas until Oct. 20. The program provides a new pair of pajamas to any child or young person who goes into a homeless shelter, transitional housing or any other “out-of-home” setting.

Pajamas must be in their original packaging, for both genders up to age 18.

The bank is located at 4604 Scotts Valley Drive and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Suicide prevention needs volunteers

Suicide Prevention Service of the Central Coast is looking for volunteers to man its suicide crisis hotline.

Volunteers provide support for people experiencing loss, suffering and isolation.

Training begins Tuesday, Oct. 13.
