EDITOR,

What a pleasure to hear the talented young singers and musicians at a student-organized concert Saturday night at Scotts Valley High School.

Beautiful music from a violinist, pianists and harpists. Traveling back to 1977 with mostly freshman rockers riffing “Hotel California.” A name to remember: Paradise Khatibi — she’s a guitar player who writes her own songs. Someday, we’ll be saying we knew her when.

Credit goes to junior Chris Youmans for putting together this musical showcase for these hard-working teens. I see bright futures for all of you!
