Professional and amateur skaters from around the country will congregate in Scotts Valley on Saturday, Sept. 26, for the 11th annual Tim Brauch Memorial skateboard contest.

The contest will be at the Scotts Valley Skatepark in Skypark.

The street contest is set to begin at 10 a.m. Last year, Christian Hosoi won the grandmaster division, followed closely by Steve Caballero.

This year, the competition is split into two days, with the street portion taking place in Scotts Valley and the bowl portion at Lake Cunningham Regional Skate Park in San Jose the next day.

Also, “Supercharged,” a documentary about Tim Brauch, the Sessions team rider who died at age 25, will be shown at the Santa Cruz Rio Theatre at 8 p.m. Oct. 15. Tickets will be available online and also at the box office the night of the show.
