People from the community spoke, thanking Cal Fire and local volunteers for the protection and support they provided during the Lockheed Fire, which burned more than 7,800 acres in mid-August. No homes in Bonny Doon were destroyed.
The Bonny Doon Fire and Rescue Team is also looking for a few more volunteers from the community.

This is not about a choice between Cal Fire OR Bonny Doon Fire. Even when Bonny Doon forms a fire district for improved structure protection and medical/accident response, Cal Fire will still have to respond to wild land fires, and Cal Fire will still want to build its own station in Bonny Doon.
Mr. "Dick", why do you not use your real name?
