The Santa Cruz County Board of Education will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Scotts Valley City Hall for what is listed as a "retreat meeting."

The agenda includes presentations on education issues by Scotts Valley Mayor Randy Johnson and Susan Silver, superintendent of Scotts Valley Unified School District.

County trustees also will discuss how they as individuals work with the county office staff, school district officials, media representatives and community members.

Additionally, Associate County Superintendent Barney Finlay will outline Assembly Bill 1200, which regulates how school districts handle their finances.
