A 52-year-old Boulder Creek man was killed January 20 when the truck he was working on fell atop of him and crushed him, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.

Timothy Walsh of Boulder Creek was performing vehicle maintenance on a truck at his home on Double Bogey Drive in Boulder Creek when it rolled off the stands and landed on his chest, and not allowing him to breath.

A neighbor saw that the truck was on Walsh and called 911. Medical personnel arrived and were unable to save him. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff Coroner’s Office deemed Walsh’s death an accident.

Walsh was a 1979 San Lorenzo Valley High School graduate. He worked as a truck driver in the construction business and was a knowledgeable mechanic. A memorial service was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Boulder Creek on January 27.
