April 14

3 p.m.: A man was cited for shoplifting and released at a store on the 6200 block of Graham Hill Road in Felton after security allegedly saw him try to steal a bottle of vodka.

 

April 13

Midnight: A resident of the 1200 block of Fern Avenue in Felton reported that someone had stolen a purse and credit cards from inside a parked vehicle and made fraudulent charges to the cards.

 

April 12

Midnight: Scrap metal was reportedly stolen from the Ben Lomond Transfer Station recycling center, 9835 Newell Creek Road, in Ben Lomond.

 

April 10

Midnight: Numerous items were reported stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle parked on the 200 block of West Hilton Drive in Boulder Creek.

 

April 9

9:30 a.m.: A resident of the 1000 block of Nina Court in Ben Lomond reported a prowler on his property and around his house.

 

April 8

10 a.m.: An envelope was reportedly taken from inside a mailbox on the 8200 block of Hermosa Avenue in Ben Lomond.

April 16

9:51 a.m.: Nine computers were reported stolen during the night from a business on Green Hills Road. Workers at the business noticed in the morning that the computers were missing.

4:37 p.m.: Responding to reports of aggressive panhandlers on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road, officers arrested a woman after determining she had a warrant for her arrest. A search of her belongings revealed two bottles of cough syrup which she admitted to stealing from Safeway.

 

April 15

1:13 a.m.: Officers approached a man riding a bicycle on Mount Hermon Road. The man, who turned out to be on probation, allegedly had a small amount of crystal methamphetamine and admitted to being responsible for graffiti nearby. He was arrested and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in Santa Cruz.

11:38 a.m.: Officers arrested a man at a storage facility on Lockhart Gulch Road after workers reported a couple camping on the premises. The man was arrested for providing false information to a police officer and was found to have a felony warrant out of Santa Clara County. He escaped from the back of the police car and ran off but was caught again.

 

April 13

7:27 a.m.: Someone broke into a newspaper machine outside a business on the 3100 block of Scotts Valley Drive. The machine was damaged and an unknown number of coins were stolen from the coin box.

2:20 p.m.: Loss prevention workers at a business on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road detained a Scotts Valley woman for shoplifting. When officers arrived, she was found to be in possession of women’s clothing and jewelry, and she allegedly had more items stolen from the same business at her residence, which were returned. She was cited and released at the scene.

8:03 p.m.: A man was arrested on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road for shoplifting, possessing burglar’s tools and providing false information to a police officer.

11:20 p.m.: A stolen vehicle was found outside a business on Victor Square. The owner was informed and retrieved the vehicle.
