Luke Immel, son of Andy and Cathy Immel of Boulder Creek, and Jaymie Rice, daughter of John Rice of Medford, Ore., were married April 21, 2012, in a redwood grove at the home of the groom’s parents in Boulder Creek. His father officiated the ceremony.

The bridal party consisted of Holly Gore, Shannon Parker, Katie Robyn, Moriah Gaines, Aaron Van Brunt and Michael Mongiello.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Immel home. A highlight of the evening was when John Rice surprised his daughter with a taped recording of “My Girl,” performed karaoke style at the Sacramento state fair in 1993 when Jaymie was 8 years old.

The groom attended San Lorenzo Valley High School and now works for JLV Electric in Santa Cruz.

The bride attended Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills and works at SunOpta in Santa Cruz.

The couple honeymooned for two weeks in Hawaii.
