I would like to comment on last week’s letter, titled “Stores should be good neighbors” (Patricia Davies, Page 6), which discussed an incident at a grocery-prescription store in Felton. I have been a customer of the store for over a decade. Over the years, I have found them to be very polite, helpful and professional, and as a result, I do nearly all my grocery shopping there. There have been many occasions when I needed assistance or had a question. They have always provided outstanding customer service, and the store manager is always willing to assist a customer.
When I enter the store, I am uplifted by the positive and welcoming environment. They work hard to ensure products are in stock and the store is a clean and pleasant place to shop. I love them and consider myself lucky to have such a wonderful store in my neighborhood. I hope you feel the same.
Shannon Weckman, Felton

I hope that the store addresses their staff and manager about the complaint and gain some understanding about how to communicate better with customers when issues arise.
It would also be cool if Patricia gives the store another chance or clearly explains her complaint to the store owner so that they can move on it.
