**A Boulder Creek man was arrested after his live-in girlfriend of eight years reported that he had struck her in the head, causing a large bump, at 10:43 p.m. The woman did not want the man arrested and turned down an emergency protective order. She declined to speak with a women’s crisis counselor.

Jan. 12

**A resident of the 400 block of Zayante School Road in Felton reported that vandals had damaged property valued at more than $400 at 10:41 p.m.

**At 2:48 p.m., a man was arrested at his home on the 11300 block of Alameda Avenue in Brookdale on suspicion of felony parole violation.

**At noon, a man and a woman were arrested on the 200 block of Hart Road in Ben Lomond after a probation search turned up a hypodermic needle, a sterile water bottle and a small amount of methamphetamine.

**A Boulder Creek woman reported at 8 a.m. that she had been held against her will, physically battered and restrained with duct tape by her fiancé.
