The Bethany University men’s basketball team lost to Chico State, 63-44, on Nov. 22.
Junior Marcus Crawford was named Cal Pac Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for averaging 24½ points per game in the Midland Empire Insurance Classic.
The team’s next game is Dec. 4 at Northern Arizona University.
The Bruins are 0-8 on the season.
Women’s basketball
The women’s basketball team lost 61-43 to UC Santa Cruz in a geographic rivalry game Nov. 23.
The women will play at Pomona-Pitzer on Dec. 10 and then at Claremont-Scripps on Dec. 11.
The team is 0-7 for the young season.
