Cross country Bethany University freshmen Wayne Smith and Brad Arkens will travel to Vancouver, Wash., on Saturday, Nov. 20, to participate in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ National Cross Country Championships.

Men’s basketball

Bethany beat UC Merced 99-66 in a Nov. 9 exhibition game, then lost to Humboldt State 83-69 on Nov. 13.

The team will play Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19 and 20, in the Midland Empire Insurance Classic, where they will face Oregon Institute of Technology and Southern Oregon. The Bruins will then host Chico State at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22.

Women’s basketball

The team lost 90-62 to The Masters College on Nov. 12 and then fell to Westmont College, 77-43, on Nov. 13.

The Bethany women will host Claremont Scripps at 5:30 p.m. Friday before playing at UC Santa Cruz at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23.
