An early-morning burglary was interrupted by the manager of a Scotts Valley pizza restaurant, but the burglar escaped through a back window.

Nothing was found missing after the manager of Tony & Alba’s in the Kings Village Shopping Centerreported seeing someone in the business when he arrived to open at 6:38 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18. The burglar ran through the business and exited through a window when the manager opened the front door. The burglar had removed a large glass window pane from a window in the back of the business to get in and use as an escape route.

The burglar left behind a cargo bag filled with burglary tools which included a power saw and power grinders.

An investigation by Scotts Valley Police seek any information about the incident as they continue the investigation. Call the department at 440-5670.
