Levi. I am eagerly trying to find someone pissed off with the rate hikes for water and tax increases in Felton. I'm in town right now trying to find someone for a commercial that will run in Monterey as part of the No on Measure O campaign. Please reach me NouveauRP@aol.com or 818-802-0533 ASAP.

A flat tax sounds good to me. 10% of $200k or less, 33% of greater than $200k. Plus incentives for adopting solar power, and purchasing low emissions vehicles, and adopting a child, and... oh wait a minute.

A motorcycle rider was killed and another seriously injured in a Sunday morning traffic collision on Highway 9, approximately 6 miles north of downtown Boulder Creek.

According to a statement by the California Highway Patrol, a 29-year-old Campbell man was riding with a group of other motorcyclists southbound along Highway 9 at 11:16 a.m. when he crossed over the double-yellow lines and was struck head-on by a Honda sport-utility vehicle in the northbound lane.

The rider was ejected from his 2000 Suzuki motorcycle and collided with the roadway. He was pronounced dead on impact at the scene.

The second motorcyclist, a 63-year-old Aptos man, was airlifted to a Bay Area hospital with major injuries after the motorcycle of the first victim was struck by a vehicle that was directly behind the Honda SUV in the northbound lane.

The impact threw the bike back into the southbound lane, where the man's 2009 Honda motorcycle collided with it, ejecting the man from the vehicle.

Highway 9 was closed between McGaffigan Mill and Saratoga Toll roads for approximately 2 hours as emergency personnel attended to the involved parties and CHP officers investigated the scene.

The drivers and passengers of the non-motorcycle vehicles involved were reportedly uninjured.

According to CHP Officer Bradley Sadek, an investigation into the crash is being conducted and the names of the victims have not yet been officially released.

The aforementioned establishment is the least of Felton's worries. Have you read the sheriff's arrest logs with the arrests occurring in Felton? The homeless who are repeatedly arrested for drunk in public? The same ones who inhabit the park day in and day out? Or the illegal camping spot of one of these repeat offenders right past Pet Palace on Highway 9? Set up right under a No Trespassing / Private Property sign? Or how about that RV camper parked along Highway 9 that rolls that RV 3" every three days to avoid being towed away? Or even better; the area up San Lorenzo right past the heavily graffiti'd wall that has been turned into someone's personal garbage pit? C'mon. If this really bothers you, then contact Bruce McPherson and Robin Mustelli and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! File a complaint regarding blight. Or the possibility that with these items being left out in the elements is causing an increase in the rodent population. We live in a paradise, yet if you peel back the beautiful outer layer, you will see our community is facing an epidemic of people just not caring anymore. We need to all do our part to make Felton, and the SLV, the true gem it really is! I <3 FELTON
