Wake up people, This latest move by the S.L.V.Water District is but an example of the gross misunderstanding the water district has of itself. Instead of developing and realizing water storage ideas to minimize a drought event considering the amount of rain we have in the "Valley", They want to build their "Palace" FIRST.???? Shame on them for thinking they can screw the voters so easily. But most importantly SHAME on "US" if we let them

Do people forget what happened in the Felon takeover by SLVWD.The district told the Felton customers that they only raise the rates on average 2% per year and as soon as the ink dried they immediately passed a 35% rate increase.Where is FLOW now to prevent rate increases. ??

Felton made a HUGE mistake following FLOW, the water district and unfortunately elected officials. SLVWD is the far worse than local ownership ever would have been. I have to ask to the letter writer - where were you when a contingent of Felton residents were expressing concern about the takeover of our water system by the SLVWD? Too busy believing the FLOW propaganda and erroneous Santa Cruz Sentinel reporting about the water takeover. That's where.
