While most people have Thanksgiving dinner with the family at home, 10 percent of Americans will dine at a restaurant for the holiday, according to Forbes magazine.

In our valleys, diners can find the traditional turkey fare or more exotic options without having to spend hours over a hot stove in the kitchen.

To make things even easier, the Press-Banner has compiled a list of available Turkey Day selections.

Scotts Valley

Scotts Valley Hilton: The Hilton welcome's new Chef Shawn Lawrence as he prepares slow-cooked Thanksgiving turkey, prime rib and ham to head a gourmet buffet from 1 - 8 p.m. Adults are $31.95 and children $15.95. Reservations: 440-1000.

Mollie’s Country Café: This old-fashioned country kitsch cafe will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving up breakfast and pumpkin pie.

Peachwood’s Steakhouse: Dine with wonderful views of the Santa Cruz Mountains from noon to 7 p.m. this Thanksgiving. The restaurant at Pasatiempo Inn will offer a special $34 menu with sage-roasted turkey and honey-glazed ham.

Chubby’s: This ’50s-style diner will serve breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ben Lomond

Ben Lomond Market and Scotts Valley Market: The markets will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to take care of shoppers’ last-minute Thanksgiving needs, as well as serving up a variety of hot and cold foods from the deli.

Boulder Creek

Brookdale Inn and Spa: Throwing back a few holiday drinks is often a Thanksgiving staple, and Brookdale’s bar will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. so people can do just that.

Red Pearl Chinese: Chinese food on Thanksgiving is a tradition in itself, and Red Pearl will give out complimentary egg rolls, pork buns and fried wontons this year. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., or you can even order takeout online.

Scopazzi’s Restaurant: This Italian eatery will serve a traditional turkey dinner along with its regular menu from 1:30 to 9 p.m.

Felton

Felton Chinese Food: This local eatery will open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., serving its regular menu of authentic Chinese cuisine.
