2:05 p.m.: The owner of a business on the 13100 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek reported that someone had entered the business, shoved the owner and demanded money and cigarettes. The owner was not able to identify the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
11:56 a.m.: A transient man was arrested on the 2100 block of Lockhart Gulch Road in Scotts Valley after he allegedly failed to register as a sex offender within the court-ordered time frame.
7:52 p.m.: Deputies arrested a man at the intersection of Highway 9 and San Lorenzo Way in Felton for an outstanding warrant.
Thirty-one people were booked into the Santa Cruz County jail from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for various offenses during the evening of July 4 and the morning of July 5. In a press release the sheriff’s office and California State Parks rangers seized approximately 445 pounds of illegal fireworks countywide.
Midnight: Deputies found a man passed out under a tree near the intersection of Highway 9 and Glen Arbor Road in Ben Lomond. He was arrested after the deputies determined he was too drunk to take care of himself.
1:30 a.m.: A resident of the 200 block of Fall Creek Drive in Felton reported that someone had stolen multiple items inside his parked vehicle by reaching through a partially open window.
Midnight: A fence surrounding a privately held open space on the 6200 block of Graham Hill Road in Felton was reportedly cut to gain access to an illegal campsite on the property.

1:02 a.m.: A resident of Cathy Lane reported that someone had damaged the front windshield of his parked vehicle.
5:47 p.m.: Officers arrested a man on Bethany Drive after they spotted him looking into parked vehicles. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
8:02 p.m.: A man was arrested at the intersection of Lockewood Lane and Mount Hermon Road for driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle struck and damaged a fire hydrant.
5:21 p.m.: A spare tire, valued at approximately $300, was reported stolen from the back of a pickup truck while it was parked outside a business on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
5:58 p.m.: A resident of Civic Center Drive reported that her mother’s boyfriend had taken several valuables from her bedroom following a verbal altercation the night before.
2:20 p.m.: A woman reported that a transient had pried open a window to her parked vehicle and spend the night in it while it was parked on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.
5:54 p.m.: Several motorists near the intersection of Bean Creek Road and Scotts Valley Drive reported that three youths — all about 10 years of age — were throwing rocks at passing vehicles, damaging one. All three reportedly ran off when confronted.
8:14 p.m.: A resident of Cathy Lane reported having a window broken by a small bullet or a BB.
