Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office

Aug. 23

2:10 a.m.: California Highway Patrol officers arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after sheriff’s deputies stopped his vehicle on the 7200 block of Highway 9 in Felton.

 

Aug. 21

8 p.m.: An older-model iPod was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 100 block of Rollingwood Drive in Boulder Creek.

10 p.m.: A purse was reported stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle parked on the 15500 block of Forest Hill Drive in Boulder Creek. A credit card belonging to the same person was later used at an ATM in an unsuccessful attempt to withdraw cash.

 

Scotts Valley Police Department

Aug. 24

7:33 a.m.: A woman reported that a wallet had been stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Grace Way. The woman was unsure whether the vehicle had been locked.

7:46 a.m.: A resident of Casa Way reported that his garage door was open when he woke up, and a garage door remote was missing from the unlocked black Escalade parked inside.

11:28 a.m.: Officers were sent to Siltanen Park when a park patron called to report that the lock to the door of the Little League snack shack was missing and the lock to the equipment room had been cut.

 

Aug. 23

7:04 a.m.: A wallet containing $200 in cash, a driver’s license, a passport and multiple credit cards was reported missing. The owner guessed that the wallet was accidentally left at a gas station on Scotts Valley Drive the night before.

2:53 p.m.: Employees of Aviza Technology reported that four or five skateboarders had entered the company’s property without permission though a hole in the fence along Green Valley Road.

 

Aug. 21

8:45 a.m.: Officers took a report after a man — described as being between the ages of 18 and 20 and wearing a plaid coat — walked into a backyard on Scotts Valley Drive, stole metal and left in a white truck.
