Details: Nature-themed gifts will be sold and refreshments will be served during Mountain Parks Foundation’s 20th annual holiday fundraiser. Proceeds will pay for environmental and cultural education in local state parks. The fundraiser will run both Saturday and Sunday.

Berry Creek Falls hike

Where: Big Basin Redwoods State Park, 21600 Big Basin Way, in Boulder Creek

Details: Docent Bill Rhoades will lead a moderate to strenuous 11-mile hike to Big Basin’s 65-foot Berry Creek Falls. Hikers should wear layers, take water and lunch and meet at park headquarters.
