Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park nature center director Lee Williams adjusts his HO-scale electric train as it runs in the nature store this holiday season.

“It was one of the more popular scales in the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s,” Williams said.

This engine and its five cars are among of “20 or 30” trains Williams said he owns of all different sizes. He has owned this particular model for the past four years after purchasing part of it on eBay and other parts at a hobby store in Capitola.

The train will be on display in the nature center, off Big Trees Road in Felton, through January.
