Artist Reception Tom Wolver and Ron Lion Join Tom Wolver and Ron Lion as they present their holiday collections. Soquel, CA - At Fine Art Enterprises we have the privilege of welcoming the holiday season with a wonderful collection of new work to share with you. Join us as we host Tom Wolver and Ron Lion in a presentation of their latest sculpture collections. The public is invited to find a special gift and talk to the artists. Saturday, November 14th from 4-7 PM. Fine Art Enterprises 3100 Porter Street Sculptor, artist and teacher, Tom Wolver isn’t afraid of madness. He strongly agrees with Carl Jung’s concept of the “Shadow” that “in order to experience one’s light, one must journey through one’s darkness”. To see and fully experience Tom’s sculpture you must be prepared to confront your own “personal darkness or shadow”. Wolver works from his remote home on “Voodoo Ridge” in the hills near Corralitos drawing from his formal education in psychology to bring physical and spiritual balance to his creations. Ron Lion learned all about the art of the line from his long history of association with fine art, commercial design, and his own personal artistic vision. He received degrees in engineering and transportation design before starting a design career at Ford Motor Company. “When you learn car design, you learn all about the art of the Line. I combine that with surfacing then I relate that to the human figure” he says of his curving, angular work. Ron creates compelling works using cement, clay, wax and bronze, each piece taking on a life of their own during creation.
